Hello, and welcome! Seeking therapy can feel overwhelming, and it’s natural to feel uncertain about taking that first step. Choosing to prioritize yourself may be difficult, but it opens the door to a meaningful journey of healing and self-discovery. In this space, you’re not expected to have all the answers or even a clear plan. What matters most is the willingness to begin. Together, we’ll process the challenges you’ve carried, strengthen your sense of self, and help you reconnect with resilience. You deserve to feel at peace, trust yourself, and live a life where joy and empowerment are possible again.

In our work together, I’ll meet you exactly where you are, offering a space that is genuine, compassionate, and supportive. Therapy is a collaborative process, and you remain the expert in your own story. My role is to walk alongside you, offering guidance as you navigate difficulties and move toward the goals that matter most.

I am committed to honoring your individuality and supporting growth in ways that feel authentic to you. To do this, I draw from approaches such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), person-centered therapy, and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), tailoring the process to your needs and helping you create meaningful, lasting change.

In therapy, I work towards creating a strong relationship with my clients that is based in genuineness, empathy, and openness. I believe connection is an essential component of life - with ourselves, loved ones, nature, and beyond. I aim towards creating a warm, safe environment for my clients to explore who they are, how they got there, and who they want to become. I approach therapy with curiosity and acceptance of where my clients are at presently. My intention is to show up each day as my authentic self and I love when my clients are able to do this as well. I work with adults and my main areas of focus include anxiety, trauma, life transitions, ADHD, and interpersonal issues. I have a client-centered approach to therapy which includes the use of Humanistic theories, Narrative Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy. I am also passionate about integrating nature into my therapy practice, from nurturing plants in my office to holding sessions in the outdoors.

In my down time, I look forward to being in nature, knitting, traveling, baking, and reading.

“Life is a Journey, Not a Destination, and it all Begins with One Single Step”

I work from a client-centered approach focusing on strengths, goals, wellness, and overall well-being. I aim to connect with clients through a warm, calm, compassionate demeanor, in a safe supportive environment. I also use a solution-focused approach to help clients problem solve and attain their goals.

I received a Master’s Degree from Hazelden Betty Ford Graduate School. My focus (since 2015) has been working with adults struggling with substance use. The bulk of my experience has been working with adult males; however, I also work with women and family members of those with addiction. I specialize in substance use disorder counseling, but also work in areas of anxiety, depression, adjustment issues, trauma, relationship issues, and life planning. I am fortunate to work with a multidisciplinary team that assists in bringing a lot of expertise in many other areas of mental health.

Things can and do change. If you are struggling to create change in your life, it is my hope that with my experience and areas of therapeutic focus, I can help you on your own journey towards living the life that you want you live.

Trainings and Certification: EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) through EMDR Institute, ART through IS-ART

Hello there! I am a Texas native, and I am very excited to serve my clients in a welcoming, safe, and nonjudgmental environment. I received my master of arts degree in forensic psychology and doctorate degree in clinical forensic psychology from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology. I have been immersed in the mental health field for about nine years now and have had the privilege of working with a multitude of populations. Some of my career/research interests lie in trauma treatment, correctional psychology, and family systems. A few of the therapeutic approaches I tend to gravitate toward include Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI); however, I believe the needs of the client may require more integrative approaches specific to them.

When I am not in the office, I enjoy being outdoors, reading, traveling, and spending time with my pup.

Welcome! I hope you can take a little time to thank yourself for recognizing that therapy may be the best next step for you or your kiddo! This first step can be the hardest part of this process, and I want to acknowledge that you are here.

I am excited to be able to offer my clients a safe and supportive space in which they can explore their thoughts, feelings, experiences, and work towards making positive changes in their lives. I feel privileged to work together with clients to navigate the inevitable challenges that life throws at us. I believe that clients are experts in their lives, and that I am here as a partner to uncover those truths that may get in the way of coping and healing.

I am passionate about working with children, adolescents, and adults in concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, life adjustments, and stress management. I strive to create an environment where we can work together to not only decrease the negative feelings, but also create a happier and healthier future. I tend to utilize strategies from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, behavior management, and mindfulness-based approaches.

When I am not in the office, you will find me wandering the Duluth-area hiking trails, watching NCAA softball, eating Love Creamery ice cream, or getting lost in a good book!
